A gift to the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation from two local donors has supplied the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Environmental Services department with two additional disinfection systems.

Jim and Deb Stoddard have supported the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation with donations since the foundation’s formation. The couple’s most recent gift supported the purchase of two Clorox 360 Electrostatic Sprayers and a handheld unit to enhance cleaning and sanitizing efforts at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

“In addition to our standing unit in the Emergency Department, the Stoddards’ gift provided additional equipment dedicated to Acute Care and the OR,” said Raedena Ryan, executive director of the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation. “The Clorox 360 is a new revolutionary system that helps reduce pathogens. After initial cleaning of the room and surfaces, the Clorox Total 360 is an added step to ensure disinfection of hard-to-reach places along the sides, undersides and backsides of certain surfaces.”

Jim Stoddard operated Stoddard Foods in Assumption until his retirement. Deb Stoddard served as surgery manager at Taylorville Memorial Hospital for many years until her retirement. She is a long-time member of the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

“Gifts that support the medical technologies fund allow us to make investments in state-of-the-art medical equipment critical to providing exceptional patient care for our community,” said Ryan.
