The Memorial Medical Center Foundation is extending its deadline to June 1 for aspiring healthcare professionals to apply for its Healthcare Career Education Grant.

Applicants must live in the Memorial Medical Center region. Award amounts vary depending upon the degree being sought.

The Healthcare Career Education Grant program helps create a pipeline of professional clinical staff for Memorial Medical Center. It also helps to ensure the nonprofit hospital has the staff needed to provide the necessary care to their patients.

Memorial Medical Center Foundation secures charitable gifts, identifies needs and provides funding through grants that support patient care, education and research throughout Memorial Health System and the Springfield community.
