Aug. 3, 2021...DECATUR – Jeri Ann Higgins, a radiology tech clinical coordinator, is the Decatur Memorial Hospital Colleague of the Month for June.

Higgins was nominated by a patient, who relied on her help to get from department to department during a visit to the nonprofit hospital.

“I was worried about getting from one department to another because of my lung issues and being on oxygen,” the patient said. “Jeri made my experience less stressful and she was so kind and so courteous.”

Higgins has worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital since 2003.

She lives in Moweaqua with her husband and three children. She enjoys cheering on her husband’s football team, reading and vacationing near the beach.
