The RMED Program recruits students from rural Illinois communities who express a desire to return to a rural Illinois community to practice medicine.

“Jacksonville always has a special place in my heart,” Hadden said. “My parents are high school sweethearts from here so it’s been a dream of mine to finally set up a permanent stake and to serve the community that I’ve known for so long.”

Hadden is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the University of Mizzou Rural Advisory Board and the Family Medicine Resident Inpatient Committee.

“I decided to become a doctor at a young age. My grandfather was a physician,” Hadden said. “I got to be around his office and practice and the medical field growing up. It really captured my imagination and passion.”

Hadden and his wife, Bethany, have two sons, Robbie and Daniel.
