A $10,000 donation from the Bertrand Hopper Memorial Foundation to the Taylorville Memorial Foundation will support the Healthcare Careers Educational Grant program at the nonprofit hospital.
The program provides financial assistance to Christian County-based students interested in studying health care and offers opportunities to work at Taylorville Memorial Hospital upon degree completion.
“Education grants are intended to create a talent pipeline,” said Taylorville Memorial Foundation President Billy Williams. “We want to help students receive the education they need and encourage them to build their careers right here at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.”
Raedena Ryan, executive director of the Taylorville Memorial Foundation, said the Bertrand Hopper Memorial Foundation has consistently supported the hospital for many years.
“Through donations like these, we strengthen the future of our community as we encourage young professionals to make a commitment to serve as the next generation of local health care providers,” said Ryan.
To support the Taylorville Memorial Foundation, tax-deductible contributions can be made payable to Taylorville Memorial Foundation and mailed to 201 E. Pleasant St., Taylorville, IL 62568, or online at memorial.health/tmf.
The Taylorville Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Organized in 1995, the foundation supports Taylorville Memorial Hospital’s mission to improve lives and build stronger communities through better health.
