Memorial Physician Services will staff a clinic in Concordia Village to offer primary-care services to the Springfield retirement community’s nearly 300 residents.

The clinic will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays. Its first day of operation will be July 2.
“Our partnership with Concordia Village allows us to respond to the growing healthcare needs of our aging population,” said Travis Dowell, vice president of Memorial Health System, the parent organization of Memorial Physician Services.

Dr. Mary Saunders, an internal medicine physician with Memorial Physician Services-Capitol Healthcare, will lead the clinic, which will have one exam room in Concordia’s Care Center.

“Enhancing wellness is a key component of caring for our residents,” said Mike Raso, regional vice president for Lutheran Senior Services, the parent organization of Concordia Village. “Our partnership with Memorial Physician Services ensures quality and continuity of care, which is essential for reducing hospital readmissions and enriching quality of life.”

Physician services provided will be for primary care, wellness and checkups, and sick visits. Walk-in appointments will be available.
