Tiffany Allen, a registered nurse in the ambulatory surgery department at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for May.

During a recent COVID-19 surge in hospitalized patients, Allen served in the post anesthesia care unit/COVID-19 intensive care unit, where she was a valuable resource for her nurse and clinical staff colleagues, hospital officials said.

“As a nurse, I learn new things daily and I enjoy caring for patients, hearing their stories and learning from each and every one of them,” said Allen.

Allen has worked at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital since 2014.

Outside of work, she enjoys home improvement projects, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, boating and spending time poolside with her family, which includes her husband and daughter.
