Minton, of Decatur, is known for continuously making herself available to co-workers to answer questions or improve processes. “She’s dedicated to her job, always trying to make things better and is just an all-around amazing person,” said Alena Jeppson, Minton’s co-worker in the laboratory, who nominated her for recognition.
Minton is dedicated to caring for patients “behind the scenes” at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
“The most rewarding part of my job is how I can help patients in an unconventional way,” she said. “I might not be at the patient's bedside, but I always keep an eye on how they are doing through their lab work.”
Minton has worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital since 2018.
Outside of work, she enjoys renovating her home, hiking, biking and playing with her two cats.
