Memorial Medical Center to Begin Second Phase of Rerouting Main-Entrance Traffic

5/22/2015

Memorial Medical Center will begin the second phase of rerouting pedestrian and vehicle traffic at its main entrance beginning May 27.

The hospital’s circle drive has been closed to vehicles since the first phase began on May 11. Patients will be dropped off and picked up at the curb along the westbound lane of Miller Street when the second phase starts. They are currently being dropped off and picked up along the southbound lane of First Street during the first phase. Hospital staff will provide valet and wheelchair service.

The second phase is expected to last through September. The traffic rerouting will accommodate the final phase of the nonprofit hospital’s campus expansion, which is running ahead of schedule.

Main-entrance traffic will be for patients and visitors only during both rerouting phases. All other vehicles, including employees and food deliveries, will be routed to other hospital entrances.
