An estimated 100 exhibitors participate in Memorial’s Be Aware Women’s Fair each year. Exhibitors cover topics, including finance, fitness, health, beauty, fashion, home decoration and education.
The Be Aware Women’s Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in the Orr Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk will be held the same day on the fairgrounds. All participants in the walk will receive free admission to the Be Aware Women’s Fair.
Exhibitors’ booths are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Booth prices range from $150 to $250; a $50 discount is available for exhibitors who apply before June 17. The deadline for booth reservations for exhibitors is Aug. 5.
Exhibitors can visit BeAwareWomensFair.com to print off an agreement. They can also send an email to beaware@mhsil.com or call the Memorial Medical Center Foundation office at (217) 788-4700 for a contract or for more information.
Proceeds from the Be Aware Women’s Fair support the foundation’s breast cancer patient assistance fund, which provides financial assistance to breast cancer patients for items or services that can help meet basic needs, decrease stress or improve the healing process, such as compression gloves, wigs or premade meals.
