Sen. Mark Kirk will tour the Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, in Springfield.

The center is on the campus of Memorial Medical Center. Kirk's tour will include the Simulation Center on the third floor and the Surgical Skills Lab on the fourth floor.

The 72,000-square-foot center is a technologically advanced learning environment where Memorial employees, medical residents and the nonprofit hospital’s physician and community-health partners develop and strengthen their clinical skills and knowledge.
