The Sangamon CEO class of 2018 will begin meeting in the 2B H.D. Smith Tiered Classroom this week on Monday, October 30th from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and wrap up on Thursday, November 9th while participating in the Shadow Hanson Professional Services Day on Frdaiy, November 3rd. According to their website, sangamonceo.com, "Sangamon CEO is a collaboration between businesses and school districts in Sangamon County, Illinois. It is an accredited, and a dual credit, high school class that connects students to business leaders. This connect allows our students to experience the challenges and rewards of running a business." While here, the students will be working on the class business that is the first annual Zombie Apocolypse 5K. During their first week, students will prepare for the event and practice a final run-through. The second week falls after the 5K is compelte and will include a hot wash and after-action reports, according to Rich Johnson, Director of Sangamon CEO. Funds collected during the Zombie Apocolypse 5K will be used as seed money for each student to help launch their individual businesses.
