The Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation will be hosting its annual Signature Event titled “Gifts of the Season” on Saturday, December 2 at The Pillars Event Center. Long-time event co-chairs Mary McNeely and Penny Bliler celebrate their fifth year of planning the event which promises to be a night to remember with a social hour at 6 p.m. followed by a welcome and plated dinner at 7 p.m. Music will be provided by acoustic duo “Lowder and Manning”.
“It is an honor to help raise awareness of the Foundation and the need for community support to keep the Foundation growing,” said Bliler. “The most significant achievement has been the opportunity to recognize those who have provided funding through memorials for yearly scholarship opportunities for healthcare professionals.”
Proceeds generated will benefit the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation Healthcare Careers Scholarship program. The program was established to help Taylorville Memorial Hospital develop a talent pipeline for students who would like to study healthcare and, upon degree completion, work at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.
“Foundation leadership has chosen to support the high level and quality service provided by Taylorville Memorial Hospital by administering and underwriting scholarship programs for students and current hospital employees,” said TMH Foundation executive director Raedena Ryan. “This event is important to ensure we can continue to fund this program and support TMH and their mission to improve the health of the people and communities we serve.”
Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at the TMH Gift Shop or Rene’s Drug Store. Sponsorship opportunities are also available by contacting the TMH Foundation office at 824-1600 or tmhcontact@mhsil.com.
“It is my hope that while we enjoy an evening of cheer and celebrate how blessed we are to have a great little hospital in our community, the seed is planted and others will consider contributing to the long-term benefit of a strong, growing Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation,” said Bliler.
