Penetrating Trauma in 2017: Who Really Needs an Operation?

On Wednesday, November 29th, the Southern Illinois Trauma Center and Memorial Medical Center will present the 2017 Trauma/EMS Conference from 3:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the M.G. Nelson Family Auditorium. Dr. Kimberly Joseph, MD, FACS will be the key-note speaker. She is an Associate Professor at Rush University Medical Center and a Critical Care Surgeon for Cook County Trauma. Conference objectives include:
Discussing pre-hospital factors that influence treatment decisions in penetrating trauma
Describing the approaches to managing penetrating trauma
Describing temporizing options for penetrating arterial trauma

Dr. Adam Reid and Dr. Brandt Whitehurst will be present discussing various case studies and lessons learned.
