On Wednesday, November 29th, the Southern Illinois Trauma Center and Memorial Medical Center will present the 2017 Trauma/EMS Conference from 3:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the M.G. Nelson Family Auditorium. Dr. Kimberly Joseph, MD, FACS will be the key-note speaker. She is an Associate Professor at Rush University Medical Center and a Critical Care Surgeon for Cook County Trauma. Conference objectives include:
• Discussing pre-hospital factors that influence treatment decisions in penetrating trauma
• Describing the approaches to managing penetrating trauma
• Describing temporizing options for penetrating arterial trauma
Dr. Adam Reid and Dr. Brandt Whitehurst will be present discussing various case studies and lessons learned.
