Taylorville Memorial Hospital employees have embraced the holiday spirit by collecting donations for several local entities.
The TMH radiology department gathered monetary donations for Taylorville Terrace, an intermediate care facility for the mentally challenged. Barbara Kennedy was an x-ray tech at TMH who started the tradition of making a cash donation to the facility each year at Christmas. After her passing in 2011, the radiology staff have continued the tradition in their friend’s memory.
The TMH administration, quality management, human resources, pastoral care and infection control have gathered antibacterial wipes and tissues to donate to Taylorville Junior High School. Due to the recent flu outbreak, this donation will help replenish supplies and keep students and teachers healthy.
The TMH care management team has graciously donated to support the Christian County Senior Center in their efforts to help the local senior community.
The TMH rehab services team filled two large orders and three small orders for the local food pantry. These donations will serve two families and three single people.
“We felt it important to help out this holiday season and to donate to services and organizations that help serve this community,” said TMH Occupational Therapist Carla Tippitt.
