Cathy Drajin, Environmental Services, was recently honored with a Passavant Area Hospital Foundation Guardian Angel award.

A grateful patient had kind words for Cathy:

“One of the first days I was here a lady came into my room to clean it for me. She gave me a shy and respectful smile and started doing her job. I asked her name, she said ‘Cathy.’ I watched as she took great care to do what she came to do. I told her how important I thought it was that she be there for this hospital because without her and her level of commitment to her job, no one would want to be here and the state wouldn’t let anyone be here. This woman and those that work with her to keep this building so clean are the foundation of the establishment. Without her dedication, no one else would be able to do what they need to do.”

The Guardian Angel award is presented by the Passavant Area Hospital Foundation. A patient and/or a patient’s family may formally recognize the personal care received at Passavant with a financial gift to the Foundation in the Passavant employee’s name. The award recipient receives a framed certificate and Guardian Angel lapel pin. Nomination forms are available in the Foundation office, 479-5575.
