Memorial Medical Center will hold a series of monthly meetings for a breast cancer support group in 2018.

Meetings begin at 5 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in the Clarke Conference Room (E-118), Memorial Medical Center, 701 N. First St., Springfield. For more information on any of the listed meetings, call 217-757-7684.

June 12: Exercise and Breast Cancer, speaker Chrissy Tucker, quality data analyst nurse at Springfield Clinic. Relay for Life will also be discussed.

July 10: Photography for Healing / Art Therapy, speaker Dr. Mary Bretscher, oncologist.

Aug. 14: Lymphedema – Prevention, Treatment and Exercise.

Sept. 11: Overcoming Fear of Reoccurrence and Health Coping Strategies, speaker Bonnie Landwehr, licensed clinical social worker, Memorial Behavioral Health.

Oct. 9: Taking Care of the 'Girls' – Breast Self-Exam and Skin Care. Wear pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Be Aware Women's Fair on Oct. 13 will also be discussed. Sign-up for November winter social.

No meeting will be held in December. Meetings will resume in 2019.
