Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary held its third babysitting clinic this year on June 27.
Eleven students were taught how to care for an infant and learned CPR for sitters. Staff from the Taylorville Police Department and Fire Department presented valuable information on how to proceed in an emergency and students also learned how to make fun and easy snacks.
“This is a valuable program we are so proud to offer to the community,” said Penny Shehadeh, nurse educator at TMH.
At the conclusion of the day-long clinic, students were presented with their graduation certificate.
For those interested in participating in the next clinic, please call 824-1601 or email TMHContact@mhsil.com for more information.
