February Breast Cancer Support Group Meeting to Discuss CBD Oil

1/22/2019

The February meeting of the breast cancer support group at Memorial Medical Center will discuss cannabidiol oil.

Julianne Manuel, a registered pharmacist and owner of Mason City Pharmacy, will speak on the topic of “CBD Oil: What’s All the Hype?”

CBD oil is a non-intoxicating extract from the cannabis plant that some experts credit with helping treat a number of medical problems. Other experts say the evidence for those touted benefits is scarce.

The meeting begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, in the Clarke Conference Room (E-118) in Memorial Medical Center, 701 N. First St., Springfield.

The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month except for December. For more information, call 217-757-7684.
