Memorial Health System Annual Report Available Online

Memorial Health System’s annual report is now available to the public online.

Visitors to ChooseMemorial.org/AnnualReport can click and view highlights from throughout the six-affiliate health system, including patient testimonials and significant achievements realized on behalf of the patients and communities served by the health system.

“This user-friendly version of our annual report allows people to quickly access the information of greatest interest to them,” said Mitch Johnson, senior vice president and chief strategy officer for Memorial Health System.

Highlights of the annual report include:

• A series of patient profiles featuring community members throughout central Illinois.

• An update of Memorial Medical Center’s expansion project, Advancing Care By Design, which includes a three-floor patient care tower that will add 114 private patient rooms, six new operating rooms and expansion for surgical services, a renovated main entrance and lobby and the new Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation.

• Details about the nonprofit health system’s Community Benefit program. In 2013, Memorial provided more than $121.7 million in unreimbursed services. Community benefits totaled $73.8 million, including charity care as well as unpaid costs for patients insured by Medicaid ($29.7 million).
The annual report is for fiscal year 2013, which ended Sept. 30, 2013. A link to a printer-friendly version of the report is available on the annual report’s home page.

The health system’s six affiliates are Memorial Medical Center of Springfield, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital of Lincoln, Taylorville Memorial Hospital, Memorial Home Services, Memorial Physician Services and Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois.
