“Merry and Bright” is the theme as the Passavant Area Hospital Auxiliary celebrates its 64th Annual Holiday Bazaar, Nov. 15 and 16 at Passavant Area Hospital, 1600 W. Walnut, Jacksonville. The event runs from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, in the main lobby and meeting rooms.
Ten past Auxiliary presidents are serving as this year’s Bazaar co-chairs. Those presidents are Mary Jo Barker, Linda Curtis, Patty Fitzpatrick, Jeanne Gates, JoAnn Nelson, Judy Rhoads, Karen Sibert, Sonie Smith, Rosella Spreen and Anne Wildrick.
All of the traditional Bazaar favorites return like the Food Pantry, Raffles (including an Apple watch, $1000 cash, sports ticket package, dining out package, American Girl Doll package, golf package, lottery tickets and a gas grill), Antique to Boutique, Gift Gallery, and a room with local vendors. This year’s Deaconess Tea will feature a tribute to nursing with a special display. Donations from the Tea will be used for nursing scholarships.
The Breakfast with Santa and the Friday Night Fling events are sold out, but reservations remain for the 1 p.m. seating at the Holiday Luncheon on Nov. 16. Cost is $15 per person. Call 217–473–3661 for tickets.
Proceeds from this year’s Bazaar will be used to purchase a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) safe patient monitor for the Imaging Services department.
